Job Overview:

The Accountant role is integral to our finance team, requiring a solid foundation in accounting principles, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to prepare financial statements accurately. This position demands excellent communication skills, as the Accountant will collaborate closely with Senior Accountants and report directly to the Controller. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple tasks, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, and possess a keen analytical acumen to support the financial health of our organization.

Duties and responsibilities:

Execute monthly journal entries with precision to ensure accurate financial reporting. Perform account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure consistency across all accounts. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries into accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions. Conduct reconciliation of bank statements and general ledger accounts to maintain accurate financial records. Prepare various accruals to accurately represent the company’s financial position. Update financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and other reports, to reflect recent transactions and adjustments. Assist in year-end audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting the audit process. Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy and efficiency. Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations. Assist with other accounting projects, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the team’s success. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a closely related field, providing a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices. 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role, demonstrating a growing proficiency in financial processes and analysis. Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to use formulas, pivot tables, and other functions to analyze financial data effectively. Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating financial information to stakeholders at all levels within the organization. Ability to commute to the office, highlighting a commitment to being an engaged and present member of the finance team.
