This is a newly created position designed to support financial operations for a growing portfolio—and a unique opportunity for someone who wants to have real impact within a tight-knit, entrepreneurial team. Unlike traditional accounting roles that follow a rigid corporate structure, this position offers broad exposure across the full accounting function. You’ll take ownership of the property financials, collaborate directly with leadership, and contribute to building out internal systems and processes. For the right candidate, this role could evolve into a Controller position as the company continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for a growing multifamily portfolio Manage monthly financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis Handle full-cycle AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance Assist with property-level reporting, including occupancy and rent roll analysis Support tax filings, audits, and year-end close Partner closely with property management and ownership to maintain accurate records Work in AppFolio to ensure data is up to date and reports are properly generated Contribute to process improvement as the firm builds and refines its accounting infrastructure Successful candidates will have previous experience with property accounting, an open mind and entrepreneurial mindset, and a desire to be part of a small, family run company. Construction/development knowledge is a plus.
