Accountant Position Available In Cayuga, New York

Accountant Anveta Inc Genoa, NY 13071 Job Summary We’re seeking an experienced Accountant to lead and support all aspects of our accounting, reporting and control functions. This role is pivotal in working with managers across all departments including Finance, HR, Maintenance, and Operations for our dairy and crop divisions. Key Responsibilities Business Operations Oversee AP/AR, accounting records and financial reporting Manage the month-end and year-end close process Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements, tax filings and Support capital expenditures and annual budgeting Work with various insurance agencies for multiple lines of insurance Monitor contracts and support legal compliance Support other divisions and businesses within the company Team & Leadership Work with and mentor members of the accounting and business operations team Foster a strong organizational culture and vision Collaboration with department managers Farm Management Support Ensure the company is in compliance with animal welfare, CAFO, and DEC regulations Manage documentation and maintain relationships with contract growers Provide data support to crop and dairy managers Community & Representation Represent company in public and community settings Build and maintain vendor and consultant relationships

Qualifications Experience:

5+ years in accounting, management or operations

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred in Accounting or Business)

Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., CenterPoint, Net Suite, Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central, etc.) Valid driver’s license

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
