About the role We are looking for a detail-orientedand proactive Staff Accountant to join our growing team. You’ll bean integral member of a lean but high-performing Accounting team,responsible for supporting the month-end close and ensuringoperational excellence in core accounting areas. This role is idealfor someone with early-career experience in public or in-housebiotech accounting who is eager to roll up their sleeves, workcollaboratively, and grow with a fast-moving company.

Responsibilities Manage the accounts payable process end-to-endwithin Zip, including ensuring coding accuracy, proper PO matching,and compliance with internal controls Administer Navan for traveland expense reporting, including employee reimbursements, systemconfigurations, user onboarding/training, and coordination withinternal stakeholders Perform monthly bank reconciliations andsupport other balance sheet reconciliations Prepare and bookaccruals and help maintain data integrity across our P&L Trackand maintain fixed assets and deferred rent schedules Assist inpreparing department-level reporting Collaborate closely with theSenior Accountant to support month-end close activities Help ensureaccuracy and completeness of financial data in NetSuite and FloQastSupport ad hoc projects and automation initiatives that enhancereporting or streamline operations Maintain and improve financialdata hygiene and coding consistency About You 1-3 years ofaccounting experience (public or in-house); biotech experience aplus Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldComfortable working in a startup environment where systems,processes, and roles evolve Familiar with or curious about AI toolsin accounting (e.g., automated reconciliations, ChatGPT, etc.)Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with ERP systems likeNetSuite Highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to takeownership Strong understanding of GAAP fundamentals and how thefinancial statements interact Team player with a strong sense ofaccountability and a bias for action This role is based in our NewYork City office. Compensation:

The targetsalary range for this role is: $80,000 – $95,000. Salary ranges areinformed by a number of factors including geographic location. Therange provided includes base salary only. In addition to basesalary, we offer equity, comprehensive benefits, generous perks,hybrid flexibility, and more.
