THIS ROLE WILL BE ONSITE 5 DAYS PER WEEK IN DOUGLASTON, NY

(QUEENS). We’re looking to build the best teams possible withhighly motivated and engaged employees. We have an excitingopportunity for an Affordable Housing & Subsidies PropertyAccountant. Essential duties and responsibilities:

Managesubsidy billing and collection for affordable housing units withdiverse funding sources and ensure compliance with regulatoryrequirements for all subsidy programs Process monthly tenantbilling including HAP, DRIE/SCRIE, Section 8, and otherNYC-specific subsidies Reconcile subsidy payments and resolvediscrepancies with government agencies Prepare monthly financialreports detailing subsidy revenue streams and develop comprehensiveanalytics dashboards to track subsidy performance metrics Createdata-driven reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, andopportunities for process improvement Timely completion of bankreconciliations Review and validate tenant income certifications asthey relate to billing Ably communicate to property managers onproper subsidy documentation procedures Serve as a financialanalyst for several properties including providing monthlyreporting and participating in the annual budget process Performother duties as assigned by management

QualificationsQualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

5-7 years of Accountingexperience, real estate property management industry preferred.

Experience in Yardi required. Affordable Housing and Subsidiesexperience is required Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting,Business Administration, or a related field Excellent communicationand interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complexfinancial information to both financial and non-financialstakeholders. Proficiency in financial software and tools,including Excel. Leadership experience and the ability toeffectively manage and develop a team Knowledge of accrual basis amust. Ability to work in a team environment, as well asindependently. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to complete a multitude of tasks while adhering to strictdeadlines. Proficient with MS Excel and Word. Experience in Yardirequired. Strong organizational and time management skills withstrong attention to detail. Effective written and oralcommunication skills.
