The Fiscal Department In Our Administrative Office Seeks An Accountant That Will:

Be detail-oriented and experienced in accounting while supporting key financial operations within our organization. Complete accounting batches, including accounts payable vouchers and general ledger journal entries. Oversee and streamline accounts payable operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions and purchase orders. Provide strategic input to improve workflow and efficiency. Proactively monitor monthly accounts payable activity, resolve outstanding issues, and provide timely reporting and analysis. Manage and coordinate bi-weekly stipend payments for specialized programs ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with funding requirements. Support the bi-weekly payroll process for agency staff. Complete the annual 1099 reporting process, including vendor qualification, transaction review, and data validation. Support the Director of Finance by preparing and reviewing monthly fiscal reports and assisting in program monitoring to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. Lead the monthly financial reporting process for assigned programs including account reconciliations and variance analysis. Provide oversight and fiscal support for non-grant revenue streams. Uphold and model strict compliance with all agency and finance office policies and procedures

Candidate Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting and experience working as an Accountant. Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (specifically Excel). Experience with Accounting software programs and ADP a plus. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without the need for
