Position:
Staff Accountant Salary:
$50,000 to $55,000 per year, plus competitive benefits packages
Hours:
37.50 hours per week

Summary:
The Staff Accountant will work as part of our agency administrative team within the accounting department and under the direct supervision of the Controller and Chief Financial Officer, to accomplish all critical mandated accounting and reporting tasks.
Responsibilities:
Invoice Management:
Receive, review, and process vendor invoices, ensuring alignment with purchase orders and delivery receipts.
Payment Processing:
Prepare and schedule vendor payments in accordance with established terms to ensure timely and accurate disbursement.
Account Reconciliation:
Reconcile accounts payable records, verifying that all transactions are properly recorded and payments are accurately posted.
Vendor Relations:
Maintain effective communication with vendors to resolve discrepancies and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Reporting Support:
Contribute to the preparation of accounts payable reports, offering insights into cash flow, payment status, and outstanding liabilities.
Policy Compliance:
Adhere to internal policies and regulatory requirements, and support the implementation of internal controls to reduce risk and maintain accuracy.
Additional Duties:
Perform other related tasks or special projects as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent computer skills a must relating to excel spreadsheets and word documents
- Must be a reliable self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Knowledge of Fund-EZ Accounting software a plus
- Experience in Non-Profit accounting
Education and Experience:
- A Degree in Accounting with a minimum 2-4 years practical experience
Physical Requirements:
Majority of position sitting at desk utilizing computer and keyboard throughout the work day. Ability to lift minimum 25 lbs. (i.e. file box of documents)
