Summary:
Our client is a tier 1 supplier who is looking to add a Plant Accountant to their team. The Plant Accountant reviews and manages accounts payable and receivable. Review and analyze financial data and create reports on financial status based on the analysis results. Create timely and accurate accounting reports and present them to the company’s executives and senior management. Direct, plan, and coordinate the plant financial functions including financial statement reporting and analysis, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting. The Plant Accountant will have a degree in accounting or a related field.
Plant Accountant Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. Ability to multitask in fast paced, time sensitive environment. Strong communication skills and effective communication with all levels of the organization. Highly detail oriented and organized.
Plant Accountant Responsibilities:
Prepare reports and statements related to plant financial matters and ensure quality and timeliness of entry to corporate accounting and plant operating departments. Assist in providing accurate period and year-end closing activities. Maintain fixed asset accounts. Prepare and assess fixed asset capital requests. Complete monthly account reconciliations. Review plant payables and receivables to ensure compliance with budget. Prepare for and participate in all internal and external accounting related audits. Assist in annual financial audits. Analyze data to support business decision making. Gather financial data and maintain financial reports, records, general ledgers, and account structure. Back up for accounts payable and accounts receivable. Support the corporate AP/AR team. Assist the accounting team in ensuring timeliness and accuracy of financial statements. Maintain standard costs and inventory valuation. Analyze inventory quarterly and prepare reserve adjustments. Assist with filings of taxes and other external reporting requirements. Other duties as assigned.
