Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This is a long-term contract opportunity ideal for someone with expertise in financial reporting and accounting processes. The role requires strong analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage general ledger accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Assist in the month-end closing process by compiling and analyzing financial data.
• Generate detailed reports to support financial decision-making.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth accounting operations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies or irregularities.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems. Requirements
• Proven experience in general ledger management and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries.
• Familiarity with month-end close procedures and related tasks.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
