In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring compliancewith SEC regulations, preparing technical accounting analyses, andsupporting financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have astrong understanding of

U.S. GAAP, SEC

reporting requirements, anda background in the energy sector or a similar industry.

KeyResponsibilities:

Responsibilities Evaluates accounting policiesand procedures to reflect changes in business conditions,processes, and accounting Prepares more complex accountinganalyses. Supports the financial reporting process during the SECreporting periods through the preparation and/or review offinancial statement disclosures and supporting work papers. Reviewsfilings for compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

Enhances internal controls over financial reporting. Providesconsultation on complex SEC financial reporting matters. Providesfunctional advice or training to less-experienced accountantpositions. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

May direct the work of other staff members. Increases and appliesknowledge of legal and regulatory issues and changes in accountingguidance. Researches the impact of new accounting standards issuedby the FASB, SEC and other regulatory bodies and provides ongoingconsultation on technical accounting inquiries from theController’s Department organizations and the business lines.

Documents and reviews the results of this research with management.

Disseminates technical accounting updates to the Controller’sDepartment staff and business lines. Participates in, or leads,complex technical accounting projects to address accounting issuesand business line needs. Assists in the preparation andpresentation of technical accounting training for the Controller’sDepartment staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,Finance, or a related field (CPA required). 3-7 years of experiencein public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or a combination of publicaccounting and industry experience. Strong understanding of

U.S.GAAP, SEC

regulations, and financial reporting. Familiarity withthe energy or utility sector is a plus. Excellent analytical,organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency infinancial systems and tools (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar ERPsystems). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Why JoinUs?
