Sr. Accountant Position Available In Cheatham, Tennessee

Description Our wonderful client is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Ashland City, Tennessee. This is a contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment. The role is primarily involved in month end close, reconciliations and fixed asset accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end close procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage intercompany transactions and ensure proper documentation.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Handle fixed asset accounting, including preparing depreciation schedules and updating the general ledger.
• Conduct cash reconciliations to ensure alignment with financial records.
• Participate in special projects as assigned, contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency. Requirements
• Proven experience in general accounting, including account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong understanding of month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance.
• Familiarity with intercompany accounting and transactions.
• Knowledge of fixed asset accounting principles, including depreciation schedules.
• Ability to perform cash reconciliations accurately and efficiently.
• Experience with SAP or similar accounting software is preferred.
• Previous exposure to accounts payable and accounts receivable processes is a plus.
