JOB SUMMARY
U.S. Multimodal is seeking a hands-on and experienced USMMG is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to support the financial operations of the organization. This role will be responsible for daily accounting functions, financial compliance, reconciliations, reporting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reconcile bank statements daily and research discrepancies as needed Communicate regularly with the Controller and Operations leadership Identify, research, and track transactional processing errors Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations Monitor and follow up on balance sheet account variances Prepare accruals, journal entries, and reports for the month-end close Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation Produce ad hoc financial reports as needed Perform additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a 4-year accredited institution Minimum of 2 year of relevant accounting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong attention to detail and accuracy with documentation and reports Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills Capable of analyzing problems and creating solutions with minimal guidance
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Regular, predictable attendance is required Must comply with organizational policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements Primarily sedentary work performed in a temperature-controlled office setting Must be able to sit for extended periods and use standard office equipment
