Accounting Supervisor Job Description We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee various accounting functions, including general ledger postings and reviews, invoice reconciliations, and financial statement analysis. This role involves preparing monthly financial statements, conducting material recovery statement analysis, and expanding site coverage for financial reporting. You will also be responsible for compliance requirements, engaging with auditors, and managing periodic tax audits. Additionally, you will lead new technology setup and implementation, renew business insurance, and handle miscellaneous projects as needed. Responsibilities Post and review general ledger entries. Reconcile invoices and resolve discrepancies. Review monthly financial statements and prepare MD&A. Analyze and communicate material recovery statements. Expand MRF package to include additional locations. Prepare for and participate in yearly compliance audits and reviews. Conduct periodic sales tax and property tax audits. Prepare and submit off-road fuel tax documentation. Set up and implement new technology solutions. Renew business insurance and prepare supporting documents. Essential Skills Experience with general ledger entries, chart of accounts, and account reconciliations. Ability to analyze and reconcile financial data. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft suite, particularly Excel. Strong accuracy and attention to detail. Effective time management and stress handling. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Preferred experience in accounts payable. High proficiency in Excel is a must.
