The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting internal audits, assessing compliance with regulations, and evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls. This role is crucial in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and adherence to established policies and procedures. The Internal Auditor will work closely with various departments to identify areas for improvement and contribute to risk management strategies. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive internal audits in accordance with GAAS standards. Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with SOX regulations. Review governmental accounting practices and ensure adherence to relevant laws. Perform financial analysis and assess the accuracy of general ledger accounting. Collaborate with management to identify risks and develop risk management strategies. Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and action plans. Assist in the implementation of COSO frameworks to enhance internal control systems. Provide guidance on public accounting standards and corporate accounting practices. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry trends. Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA or CIA required 5-6 years of internal audit experience. Big 4 public accounting experience is required. Familiarity with risk management processes and financial analysis techniques. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
