Job Summary This position assists in the management of the University’s student accounts. Responsibilities Works to Assist in the Management of Student Accounts (70%)
- Provides students and parents with account information; resolves problems.
Posts account payments and financial holds Processes financial aid bookstore vouchers; enters bookstore charges into students’ accounts. Receives, analyzes and verifies non-sufficient funds information; notifies students; updates holds on student accounts. Processes meal plan purchases; enters charges to student accounts; receives and processes payments; activate meal plan on student IDs. Analyzes and verifies debit/credit balances due and assists students with questions and concerns. Updates student records in the Revenue Results billing system Assists in analyzing student accounts for financial aid remaining balances; verifies registration status, eligibility and awards; calculates refunds. Maintains Veterans Administration Post 911 accounts and database; receives and posts wire transfers; distributes payment to student accounts; updates and maintains database; assists in analyzing and balancing accounts; assists with refund processing Receives, analyzes and verifies non-sufficient funds information; notifies students; updates holds on student accounts. Performs a Variety of Related Duties (30%)
- Assists in management of petty cash operations Balances all cashier transactions and prepares end-of-day deposits Processes departmental and custodial account deposits Processes exemptions and waivers.
Maintains credit card machines; processes daily settlements; contacts providers to resolve issues. Assists with student orientation Answers telephone, provides information and assistance; transfers calls and refers to appropriate personnel. Sorts and distributes mail. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is required. Required Experience One to two years of related experience required. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Educational Qualifications Associates degree in a course of study related to the occupational field is preferred. Preferred Experience Work experience in a college or university environment is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of University System of Georgia policies and procedures. Knowledge of college policies and procedures. Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public. Skill in oral and written communication.
