DESCRIPTION
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience or training in accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, or financial operations or computations.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Prepares payroll for all divisions and departments within the Port of South Louisiana. Prepares payroll-related reports and schedules
Compiles information and performs calculations to prepare weekly and biweekly state and federal wage reports and schedules. Communicates with various agencies concerning employee withholdings and other payroll-related matters
Verifies calculations for Deferred Compensation deposits, child support, and various financial institutions
Prepare financial reports and monitor, reconcile, and audit accounts for the Port.
Review and verify that the information entered into the accounts payable program and all payroll-related invoices are processed accurately.
