As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our dedicated team and help us maintain the financial systems that support our legal work.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a legal or bankruptcy setting, and a strong understanding of trust accounting, client billing, and case-related financial tracking. This role is vital in maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the firm’s daily operations
Duties:
Post daily receivables to QuickBooks and disseminate daily deposit journal. Create and email invoices to clients. Manage ongoing collections and accounts receivable. Ensure client accounts are accurate across QuickBooks and My Case software. Resolve client billing issues. Maintain accurate trust accounting records. Enter vendor invoices and credit card charges daily. Reconcile credit cards and bank accounts monthly. Enter expenses to QuickBooks. Ensure AP payments are paid in a timely manner. Provide administrative support including answering phones and entering timesheets, as needed
Requirements:
Must have a strong proficiency in QuickBooks desktop. Excellent financial management and budgeting skills. Demonstrated ability to become proficient in industry specific management software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe and other software used in performing business functions. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. High level of integrity. Present a professional demeanor and appearance.
