Pay Range:
$37.00 – $40.00 per hour

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is responsible for processing weekly payroll, managing vendor invoices and payments, and supporting financial recordkeeping functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll and accounts payable functions within a healthcare or long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll (Weekly): Process biweekly payroll for all staff accurately and on time Maintain employee time records and verify hours worked Handle payroll adjustments, garnishments, and deductions as necessary Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Assist with year-end payroll processing, including W-2 distribution
Accounts Payable:
Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files and records Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Respond to vendor inquiries and coordinate with departments as needed
Other Duties:
Support month-end close and assist with financial reporting Maintain confidentiality and security of financial and employee data Communicate professionally with internal staff and external vendors
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll and accounts payable Experience with payroll and accounting software (e.g., Sage, PCC, Paycom, ADP, or similar) Strong organizational and time-management skills Attention to detail and accuracy Familiarity with healthcare or long-term care financial procedures a plus
