Accounts Payable Specialist Position Available In St. Louis City, Missouri

Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This role involves verifying and reconciling expense reports, facilitating vendor payments, and assisting with accounting records and ledgers. The successful candidate will ensure all outstanding obligations are managed effectively and will contribute to a smooth financial operation. Responsibilities + Receive and verify expense reports; reconcile expense and other financial reports with account balances and office records. + Facilitate payment of vendors, including verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies. + Ensure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identify discount opportunities, and issue purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed. + Assist with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions. + Perform other related duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Proficiency in accounts payable, invoice processing, data entry, and reconciliation. + Ability to handle high volumes of transactions. + Strong communication skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. + Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred. + Ability to learn other accounting software systems. Work Environment This position requires working in the office from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. The work environment is professional and collaborative, providing the resources necessary for efficient financial operations. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 – $26.00/hr.
