Accounts Payable- Property Management 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Perth Amboy, NJ 08862 Currently seeking a temp to perm Accounts Payable Specialist for a Property Management company in Woodbridge Township.
This role primarily supports the accounts payable process but also involves general office, accounting, and property management administrative support. The ideal candidate will be organized, efficient, and a team player. Temp to hire, starts ASAP!
Key Responsibilities :
Process accounts payable: Review invoices for accuracy and appropriate approval requirements, enter bills, cut checks, and ensure timely mailing Verify vendor insurance compliance Maintain accurate records of payables and check logs Follow up with vendors regarding payment status or insurance documentation Managing resident charges/ posting rent payments and housing assistance (e.g., Section 8, other subsidies) Assist with reconciling tenant ledgers in AppFolio Assist with workers’ compensation audits Maintain organized office filing systems for physical documents vendor setup and W-9/insurance documentation Help prepare year-end 1099s or other compliance reports Data entry and document uploading to AppFolio Provide general administrative assistance to property management and accounting staff as needed
Requirements:
Prior experience in accounts payable and general office administration Real Estate/property managment experience strongly preferred Familiarity with AppFolio strongly preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook) Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Positive team player with good communication skills
