Classification/Schedule:
Non-Exempt, Full-Time, 35 hours/week (Monday to Friday) We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeping Assistant to join our accounting team at our Iselin, NJ office. This onsite role is essential in supporting the day-to-day assigned tasks for the accounting department, which include data entry, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth workflows within the accounting department.
Key Responsibilities:
Reconcile payments and bank statements with accuracy and attention to detail. Perform data entry and maintain up-to-date financial records. Support the accounting team with administrative and clerical tasks. Assist with accounts payable and general ledger entries.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting support. Demonstrated strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining financial confidentiality. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping. Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong aptitude for numbers and quantitative analysis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Punctual, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary:
$65,000 annually
Work Week:
35 hours (Monday-Friday).
Paid Time Off:
Vacation:
10 days (accrued monthly).
Elective Holidays:
2 days.
Sick Leave:
42 hours per year (accrued at 1 hour per 30 hours worked).
Paid Holidays:

Education and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
