Hours:

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm -This is an inoffice position, remote work in NOT available

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs bookkeeping functions to process accounts payable vendorpayments and disburse checks and cash to staff and students.

Processes and reconciles Job Corps Student Pay. Maintains relateddocuments in efficient and organized files. Ensures strictconfidentiality of sensitive information.

RESPONSIBILITIES

oFollows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures nomanipulation of student data. o Verifies completeness of invoicepackages. Cancels (stamps PAID) all completed invoice and cashpayment packages. o Enters accounts payable invoices and paymentrequests into accounting system. o Coordinates and oversees studentpay and allotments. o Maintains the Center petty cash and mealticket funds. Performs cash transactions for students and for staffmeals. o Generates timely payments to vendors and staff. oReconciles Payroll (not Accounts Payable) bank account and AccountsPayable subsidiary records. o Performs combination of routinecalculations, postings and verifying of accounting data. Performsmiscellaneous clerical duties including typing assignments, filing,data entry and retrieval, and recurrent report preparation. oMaintains accounting records and reports, to include accountspayable, receivable, inventory control, etc. in accordance withprocedures. o Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough,timely and accurate manner. o Maintains appropriate personalattendance, accountability and work productivity standards. oPlans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet establishedgoals and deadlines. o Understands and applies job knowledge toeffectively complete all required job responsibilities. Proactivelymaintains the skills required to perform job duties. o Mentors,monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by thePRH. o Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds themaccountable for their actions and behavior. o Provides qualityservices for students and ensures that quality is maintained andstudent needs are met. Pursues improvement and enhancement ofrequisite services. o Exchanges ideas and information, both orallyand in writing, in a clear and concise manner and contributesmeaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas andknowledge. Provides quality and timely information to DOL/Companywhen requested. o Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas.

Identifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluates appropriatesolutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Follows up toensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are infact corrected. o Works in partnership with staff from allDepartments to ensure effective supervision and services areprovided to students. o Accepts direction and supervision from theCenter Director/Shift Manager to include assignments to temporarilyperform job responsibilities of other departments and positions. oOther duties as assigned. Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS &EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate ofArts Degree from an accredited school or two yearsbookkeeping/accounting experience preferred.
