Accounting Assistant AMC Corporation New York, NY 10017 • Remote Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support our accounting department by performing various tasks related to financial record-keeping, data entry, and account analysis. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data. Manage data entry tasks, including processing invoices and payments. Utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping and maintaining financial records. Maintain organized files and documentation for audits and reviews. Collaborate with team members in public accounting tasks as needed. Perform double entry bookkeeping to maintain accurate ledgers. Requirements Bachelor degree in accounting or related majors 1-2 year experience in accounting, preferred in public accounting Proficiency in QuickBooks is preferred; Strong mathematical skills with a solid understanding of accounting principles. Experience in public accounting is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to perform account analysis and credit analysis effectively. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
