Construction Bookkeeper, Seasoned Absolute Business Care Southampton, NY 11968 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented ,organized experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will understand cash v. accrual bookkeeping across multiple entities. This candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in financial software and a strong understanding of accounting principles. This position will also serve as the office administrator. Duties Process all accounts receivable transactions including AIA invoicing/payment applications and T&M invoicing. Process all accounts payable across multiple entities and bank accounts. Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues. Utilize financial software, including QuickBooks desktop and ProCore. Track all out of county purchases for possible Use Tax liability. Maintain accurate records of transactions and ensure timely processing of invoices. Requirements Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within a construction accounting environment. Familiarity with construction accounting concepts and best practices Proficiency in financial software, particularly QuickBooks Desktop and ProCore, as well as AIA Invoicing Managing sub contractor insurance and documentation Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members We encourage candidates who meet these qualifications to apply and become an integral part of our finance team.
