 Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team on a Contract to permanent basis in Southampton, New York. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong accounting skills and the ability to manage various financial tasks independently. If you excel in balancing books, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate records, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. Prepare and file sales tax reports in compliance with regulations. Record general journal entries and maintain organized financial records. Generate balance sheets and income statements for financial reporting purposes. Monitor and forecast cash flow to assist with company budgeting. Create detailed budget reports to support strategic financial planning. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve financial workflows. Requirements Proven experience in journal entries and general bookkeeping. Strong skills in performing bank reconciliations with attention to detail. Proficiency in preparing balance sheets and income statements. Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. Experience in budgeting and cash forecasting. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Knowledge of accounting principles and tax compliance. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
