Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Cordova, Tennessee. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a strong background in managing high-volume accounts payable tasks. The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to efficient financial operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Process a high volume of invoices with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring timely payments.
  • Verify and code invoices according to company standards and policies.
  • Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs to facilitate secure and prompt disbursements.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper account coding and expense tracking.
  • Maintain organized records of all accounts payable activity for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Address vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships by providing timely and accurate information.
  • Assist in optimizing accounts payable processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all payment activities.
  • Support additional financial tasks as needed to maintain smooth operations. Requirements
  • Proven experience in accounts payable, including high-volume processing.
  • Strong knowledge of invoice coding and account coding procedures.
  • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
  • Strong communication skills for vendor and internal team collaboration.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements related to accounts payable operations.
