Bookkeeper Chuck’s Heating & A/C, Inc. 416 Roosevelt Highway, Colchester, VT 05446 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in bookkeeping software. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and providing insights through financial reporting. Responsibilities Maintain and update financial records using accounting software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards. Perform double entry bookkeeping to track all transactions accurately. Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments. Assist in payroll processing Record journal entries to reflect all business transactions in the general ledger. Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information for reporting purposes. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Requirements Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of financial concepts and technical accounting principles. Proficiency in double entry bookkeeping practices and general ledger accounting. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to meet deadlines effectively.
