ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the CFO will have oversight and responsibility for all financial support for Bonide Operations. This position requires the CFO to participate in the development of financial and accounting strategies, objectives and operating plans to meet business growth and profitability goals. Additionally, the CFO will be required to manage the financial forecast and budgets to support the attainment of those goals and objectives in a way that is consistent with all legal and regulatory requirements.
This hands-on leader will have the opportunity to develop and execute strategic plans, drive growth initiatives, identify margin improvement opportunities, provide ongoing leadership and mentorship to his/her staff, and serve as a key member of Bonide Leadership team.
The CFO will work closely with the Unit General Manager and Regional CFO, to achieve the objectives of the group. This includes having responsibility for individual sections of an investment process, including but not limited to:
Strategic rationale for investment, requiring economic and market analysis
Ownership of financial modeling and valuation workstreams
Financial, legal and tax due diligence
Summarizing findings, conclusions and recommendations for sections of presentations
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The CFO will report directly to Bonide General Manager with matrix dotted line to the Adama Americas CFO.
Direct reports include: Financial Controls Manager, IT Manager, and Costing Analyst, Inventory Control Lead, Master Data Manager and Financial/Sales Analyst.
Indirect reports include: Finance Specialists & an Accountant (4), Inventory Specialists (2), IT Specialists (2)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work as an integral member of the Finance department and as a Key Strategic Partner to Bonide General
Manager to support with the business growth.
Act as a true business partner to the General Manager
Plan, develop, organize, implement and evaluate the Region’s fiscal function and performance.
Work in conjunction with the Americas CFO in the development of regional programs and initiatives
Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the Corporation may
enter; Provide information and advice on or negotiate the financial aspects of any legal dispute
or action
Create annual budgets and forecasts, including identify major drivers and opportunities/risks;
update as needed
Provide regular financial reporting and analysis to both regional and corporate management
Ensure adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and processes.
Ensure compliance with global internal best practices framework.
Oversee policy creation and adaptation as it relates to Financial and
Operational functions within Bonide, including but not limited to shipping invoice accuracy, revenue tracking, customer remittances, commission payments, payables and expense processing and
vendor agreements and contracts.
Oversight of daily cash receipts, bank account management, reconciliation, and global treasury pooling compliance.
Work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to deliver information and analysis on a timely,
and efficient basis
Help prepare clear and relevant insights for all key stakeholders to support the discussion and decision-making process

Manage operational effectiveness within core finance duties/day to day activities to be
compliant with financial operation and risk assessments.
Manage the effectiveness and efficiencies of financial services quality by frequently
communicating risk issues to General Manager/Board and Global Finance.
Protect the assets of the company and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Strategy:
Support and advise strategic and operational decision making through insights
Work effectively alongside other business units by being the General Manager’s right hand
(ready to support & challenge him/her in leading the business).
Know the business very well to be a trusted partner and advisor on Strategic planning and
decisions.
Be a business catalyst to improve business performance at other business units (e.g. cost
reduction, pricing, procurement).
CRITICAL EXPERIENCES FOR SUCCESS
To be successful in this role you will have/be:
Experience in the Manufacturing and Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
Exceptional numerical and analytical skills
Strong Costing knowledge commensurate with consumer products industry.
Strong understanding of the financial management, forecasting, budgeting process and business
performance measurement systems.
Must be able to develop, document and execute detailed budgets and forecasts and to provide
financial support in the development of business plans.
Ability to effectively and professionally present financial information to senior management and
corporate executives.
Demonstrated ability to learn the business and have a business and customer centric approach to finance and accounting leadership.
Ability to collaborate and develop strong relationships with all levels of personnel within the
organization.
Demonstrated ability to identify and evaluate complex business problems and provide well
thought out solutions.
Must be able to develop and create excellent planning, budgeting and forecasting tools to drive
the profitable growth agenda while leveraging internal and external resources.
Strong data orientation with focus on building effective data governance processes across the organization for all operating metrics.
Track record of successful implementations and integrations within ERP environment.
Strong interpersonal, employee development, performance management and leadership skills.
Must be a well-organized, self-starter who can effectively articulate business plans and deliver
results.
Must possess personal and business integrity with an energetic style demonstrated by a positive
attitude and a strong work ethic.
Must be able to accommodate up-to 15% overnight travel.
Ability to commit to Bonide values
The following experiences are preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field. CPA, CMA or MBA preferred
Experience conducting business with large US consumer products retailers and eCommerce.
