Retail Compliance Specialist 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 400 NW Plaza Dr, Saint Ann, MO 63074 Purpose The Retail Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing safety adherence and CCTV programs to support all Corporate Save A Lot retail locations. The Retail Compliance Specialist monitors and assists Save A Lot stores to remain compliant with overall safety operations. This includes ensuring the assigned locations follow both federal, state, and local Safety codes and all company policies and procedures. Responsibilities Conducts Safety visits in stores Monitors and assist stores to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA) Regularly reviews standard operating procedures and suggests improvements to enhance operational efficiency while maintaining compliance Develops concise compliance related training materials for retail operations, including SOPs, Training Guides, Quick Reference Guides, Policies, and additional resources Collaborate with the Director of Facilities and the Talent Development team to assess training needs based on program or equipment updates, new safety regulations, recurring inspection issues, or demonstrated knowledge gaps Tracks and manages OSHA related incidents within EHS Safety Tracking Software Reviews store visit findings with store leadership and provides direction to correct deficient conditions Oversees third-party provider services for retail locations, ensuring effective communication of store requirements for training, supplies, and operational support. Analyzes safety data and provides periodic trend analysis reports for the Save A Lot leadership team Delivers safety training to team members as required by local/State/Federal Regulations Reviews of Team Member Safety and Security needs across Retail locations Manages CCTV system for all corporate retail store locations Works cross functionally with various departments to ensure they have the proper video footage Raise concerns to Facilities Director, field operations team, or other leadership Works closely with store leadership, law enforcement, and security teams to address issues of theft or security threats Reports any malfunctioning or damage to security equipment for timely repairs or replacements Performs other duties as assigned About You 1-3 years of experience in Safety and Compliance, retail background preferred Bachelor’s Degree required in Public Health, Safety, Environmental Health, Food Science, or related field or an equivalent amount of experience Experience or certification in Occupational Safety and Health compliance (OSHA) Must be able to clearly communicate expectations, problem solve and provide solutions SERV Safe, National Registry, or other nationally recognized Food Safety Certification is required or must be obtained in the first six (6) months from date of employment Prior recall experience preferred Familiarity with retail grocery operations preferred. Must obtain all professional licensure required by local law or regulation Prior experience in loss prevention, security, or asset protection in a retail environment is preferred Proficient in Microsoft Suite Strong analytical skills required for data interpretation and analysis Physical Requirements Ability to travel up to ~50% of the time, which may include weekends and evenings, as needed Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled environment Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties Our Values Ability to demonstrate, understand and apply our workplace values.
