GENERAL SUMMARY

The LoanConsultant I provides exceptional customer experience whileproviding personal loan solutions. This position focuses onbuilding a customer base through sales, loan extension and merchantreferrals. Role success will be based on creation of customerexperience, generation of business, compliance, attainment ofmonthly goals, and accuracy.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Greet,assist and solicit individuals entering the office and calling byphone; receive and process credit and employment verifications, andrecord information obtained; process payments, distributions, makerecommendations regarding loan approvals; approve loans up toestablished lending limits, complete loan closings, handle accountactivities related to collection accounts, including phone callsand face to face communications with customers. Prepare reports,correspondences, transaction documentation, and record and filedocumentation; operate cash drawer, process bank deposits, maintainrecords and balances and closing of the branch. Actively market allbranch products and services to individuals. Perform all otherduties as assigned by management.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

High SchoolDiploma or GED from accredited institution 0-2 years consumerfinance or related experience Cash handling; computer skills;customer service skills Ability to work with minimum supervisionExcellent communication skills Proficient working knowledge ofMicrosoft Windows, Excel and Word Applications

PREFERRED/DESIREDQUALIFICATIONS

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree Bilingual,Spanish/English

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is$18.00 – $21.00 per hour, based on the specific Knowledge, Skills,Abilities and/or Experience of the selected candidate. Thisposition is eligible for Quarterly Incentive compensation based onindividual and company performance guidelines.
