Job Description:
At Regions, the Finance Valuation Analyst will be responsible for providing analytics and commentary with respect to credit modeling and assumptions used for discounting and cash flow projection. Primary Responsibilities Assists in the documentation of processes, procedures, and model assumptions in accordance with internal validation standards Contributes to the development of behavioral models intended to capture unique cash flows Provides implementable statistical analytics for the support of portfolio modeling Verifies modeling and data assumptions and works with leadership to make updates and changes when needed Builds market intelligence and reporting around current deals, valuations, and pricing Incorporates elements of acquisition evaluation, portfolio valuation, profitability analysis, and market research Collaborates with business segments to provide analytics for strategic decision making and to identify risks in the portfolios/positions Receives instructions, guidance, and direction from senior level associates This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field Skills and Competencies Background in one or more of the following: Loan valuation, mergers and acquisitions, credit modeling, portfolio analytics, securitizations, capital markets, or quantitative modeling Excellent analytical and quantitative skills Highly motivated Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Strong attention to detail and sound decision-making skills
Preferences:
Experience with Quantitative Risk Modeling (QRM) Framework Background in one or more of the following: loan valuation, mergers and acquisitions, credit modeling, portfolio analysis, securitizations, capital markets, or quantitative modeling 1-2 years of work experience in a similar role Advanced ability with Microsoft Excel Experience with Microsoft SQL This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. Position Type Full time Compensation Details Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
