POSITION SUMMARY

The Analyst will play a key role in collecting, analyzing, and reporting healthcare data to support decision-making and strategic planning across our network. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The Analyst will work cross-functionally with clinical, operational, and administrative teams to improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Collect, validate, and analyze data from clinical, financial, and operational systems across HSA’s hospital network. Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with department leaders and front-line staff to identify data-driven solutions to organizational challenges. Perform ad hoc and recurring analysis to support quality improvement initiatives, resource allocation, and patient care strategies. Translate complex data into clear and actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences. Assist with regulatory and accreditation reporting requirements, including CMS, Joint Commission, and state-level mandates. Work with IT and data governance teams to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance. Contribute to predictive modeling and population health initiatives aimed at improving outcomes and reducing costs. Stay informed of trends in healthcare analytics, informatics, and policy to drive innovation within the organization.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Accounting, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field required. Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis, healthcare analytics, or a related field. Experience with Axiom is highly preferred. Experience in a hospital, healthcare system, or health insurance environment is highly desirable. Master’s degree preferred but not required.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

Proficiency in data analysis tools such as dashboards, databases, etc. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Qlik would be a plus. Strong understanding of healthcare data sets including EHR, claims, quality metrics, and patient outcomes. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. Knowledge of HIPAA and data privacy standards.
