JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY
The Investment Portfolio Specialist will be responsible for strategy implementation, for managed investment accounts within the Trust Department, by deciding how client accounts are invested by selecting the appropriate investment model and platform. In addition, this role will engage in asset management functionalities such as, trading, rebalancing, performance reporting, marketing and compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for implementation and monitoring of investment strategies through various platforms utilizing SMA or UMA technology by deciding which model and investment platform should be utilized to most efficiently invest client accounts according to the investment strategy.
Provides portfolio support by deciding which securities to buy and sell to fulfill requests, such as withdrawals, contributions, or tax harvesting This position will utilize Morningstar Direct and Factset portfolio analysis to analyze portfolio holdings through attribution and performance analysis. In addition this role will act as the backup performance analyst as well as lend support to marketing by maintaining databases with portfolio analytics and providing client or departmental presentation requests. MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or other related field
2-3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
Demonstrated ability to think critically and problem solve Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
Basic knowledge of and exposure to the investment industry and investment concepts
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel, Power Point, and Office
ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS
Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions
Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions
Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions
Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
