Cash Applications Specialist Roessel Joy Canton, MA 02021 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Cash Application Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial concepts and technical accounting, with experience in financial software applications. This role is essential for ensuring the effective implementation and support of our financial applications, particularly in areas such as public and corporate accounting. The Application Specialist will work closely with various stakeholders to optimize application performance and enhance user experience. Duties Accurately apply daily customer payments received via lockbox, ACH, wire, and other electronic methods to customer accounts. Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, short-pays, and unapplied cash in a timely manner. Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Credit, Billing, Sales) to ensure proper cash allocation and resolve customer account issues. Communicate with customers regarding remittance information and payment details when necessary. Monitor and manage unapplied cash and credit balances, ensuring resolution within departmental guidelines. Reconcile customer accounts as needed and assist with month-end closing activities. Maintain documentation for audit purposes and assist with internal or external audits. Provide expert support for financial software applications, including troubleshooting issues and resolving user inquiries. Requirements BS Degree 1-3 years of Cash Apps or Accounting Experience Great Plains software experience is a plus! Strong understanding of financial concepts, including public accounting and corporate accounting practices. Proficiency in financial software applications Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. #AFTP123
