Job Summary The Financial Analyst works closely with our Controller to manage the plants accounts payable processes and support overall plant operations from a financial perspective. This includes supporting the month end close cycle; routinely reporting operational KPIs and financial reporting metrics; ensuring the safe guarding of company assets; and forecasting financial results. The Financial Analyst should be familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), basic internal controls, and computerized accounting systems. Duties and Responsibilities Supports timely month end, quarter end, and year end close cycles Oversees the accounts payable process for the plant; communicates across departments to resolve questions and follows up with vendors as needed Processes capital project invoices and other receivers as need to support the facility Collaborates with Controller to prepare and track facility budgeted spend and prepare quarterly forecasts Routes invoices for approval and submission to corporate for entry and payment Performs accruals and journal entries for the facility Prepares balance sheet reconciliations Tracks and monitors capital expenses against project timelines and reports financial impacts as necessary Prepares variance analysis and updates KPIs for weekly and monthly financial reporting Responsible for inventory reconciliation Partners with leaders across all departments to ensure spending and payment processes are followed Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree, preferably with a Major in Accounting or Finance preferred Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) 2 years of accounting-related work experience; experience in a manufacturing company, a plus Ability to communicate and problem solve with team members at all levels and departments of the organization Advanced knowledge of MS Suite, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint Experience working with financial systems, a plus Ability to work flexible hours to support timely closing deadlines City Brewery is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all applicants will be considered without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, or disability status.
