Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Corporate Controller to supervise accounting operations and support a high-performing finance team. Lead initiatives to enhance processes, fortify internal controls, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Supervise and develop staff (initially one direct report), aligning team performance with organizational objectives. Possess the ability to mentor others and potentially expand the team in the future. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly closing tasks. Ensure timely and accurate issuance of monthly financial statements. Assist in audit readiness, coordinate the preparation of audit schedules, and provide support during audit fieldwork. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance reporting processes and implement financial tools and systems. Evaluate existing accounting procedures and suggest improvements. Participate in special projects, process enhancements, and high-visibility initiatives that promote long-term success. This position requires a hybrid work model with 2 days onsite each week.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is mandatory. At least 4 years of relevant accounting experience. Solid background in cost accounting and financial operations. Exceptional analytical skills and keen attention to detail. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Leadership abilities with a knack for mentoring and motivating others. Capability to drive process improvements and manage change effectively. Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities. Collaborative and adaptable, focused on delivering results. Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in accounting. Willingness to take initiative and handle various responsibilities.
