DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Correspondent Banking Officer is responsible for selling banking products and services to other financial institutions such as small community banks and credit unions. The available products/services include but are not limited to: cash management products, credit products, credit card programs, and online web based platforms. The incumbent is also responsible for managing an assigned territory by handling maintenance of accounts and managing relationships with clients.
The incumbent will:
Evaluate needs of potential clients and offer appropriate products and services Prepare and compile client information to set up new accounts Provide ongoing relationship servicing with current clients to maintain goodwill and gain additional business Respond to client inquiries and requests regarding accounts Coordinate and assist back office personnel in resolving client issues Conduct prospect calls Generate new business to assist in meeting annual production goals Responsible for being familiar with all compliance regulations and policies that are applicable to this position and follow and ensure compliance with these regulations and policies

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; will accept fifteen (15) years of related experience in lieu of degree Minimum eight (8) years of institutional sales experience Correspondent sales experience preferred Experience working with a range of customers to develop comprehensive banking solutions, sometimes requiring extended sales cycles and/or complex arrangements Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as demonstrated in previous experience negotiating with institutional decision-makers, including presenting to committees or influencers Experience working independently Ability to stay organized and multi-task to optimize sales and service in assigned territory Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
The physical requirements and environmental conditions of this position consist primarily of: Sustained standing and sitting Frequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor Occasional presentations requiring public speaking to small groups Occasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbs Normal office environment with comfortable internal temperatures and low level noise Some travel necessary for prospect meetings and networking events EOE/AA
