GENERAL FUNCTION
Responsible for profitablebusiness development as well as monitoring the quality of anextensive existing portfolio of companies with annual gross salesof at least $5 million with more emphasis on customers with higherrevenues(i.e.at least $20 million). Ability to lead and coordinatewith One Bank Partners to create and implement a relationshipstrategy for assigned clients and prospects. This position requiresa strong understanding of credit, commercial productsandfinancialstatement analysis, in order to offer beneficialbanking solutions (e.g. loans, treasury management, capitalmarkets) based on clients and prospects needs. The incumbent willhave extensive knowledge and experience working with highrevenue,morecomplex relationships. This role is expected to solicitparticipation in public debt issuance for clients. This role isexpected to activity participate in communityactivities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development . Work independently to identify and develop profitable new “leadleft” client relationships by leveraging centers of influence,existing clients, & referral sources. . Develop and implement a business plan to achieve financial goalsand qualitative measures. . Work closely with Fifth Third internal partners to deepenexisting relationships and acquire new prospectiverelationships. . Attend community and/or specific industry forums, conferencesand/or meetings in order to broaden relationship networks, referralsources and continually deepen knowledge of trends, practices,services and the competitive landscape Portfolio Management . Work with product partners (Treasury Mgmt., Capital Markets, andWealth Mgmt etc.) analyze, evaluate and develop a tailoredrelationship strategy for each client or prospect. Ensure thatcustomer relationships are managed to maximize theopportunityforthe bank, while taking into account Bank risk andcustomer needs. Client Experience . Meet with customers on a regular basis to enhance the trustedadvisor relationship and ensure business needs are beingmet . Utilize consultative sells skills, commercial playbook principalsand call reporting plans to enhance the clientexperience . Utilize the Bank”s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systemfor client activity tracking, call reports and pipelinemanagement. Credit Excellence Analyze financial information provided to determine the creditrequest that should be pursued . Monitor, on an ongoing basis, information concerning customerfinancial performance, condition, and industry trends to determinethat any credit exposure is at an acceptable risk, and pricedaccordingly. . Partner with Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers on creditrequests and adhere to established Portfolio Management guidelines(i.e., delinquencies, documentation preparation, financialstatement tracking exceptions, matured loans).
