Payroll Clerk 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 3300 West Esplanade Avenue, Metairie, LA 70002 PAYROLL CLERK Project Consulting Services, Inc. a multi-state engineering, project management and consulting firm is seeking to hire an experienced, skilled Payroll Clerk in its Metairie, Louisiana Corporate office with at least 3 years of previous relevant experience processing payroll. Requirements and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The ability to handle multiple projects in a timely manner Proficient and skilled knowledge of Excel spreadsheets/processes Reviewing employee timesheets for inclusion and proper posting Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deductions Preparing reports that include summaries of earnings, withholdings, tax deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages Calculating payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and calculating employer’s payments for social security, unemployment and worker’s compensation Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries Reviewing employee expense reimbursement requests for adherence to company expense reimbursement polices and processing of related payments Practical knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures of payroll and withholding tax compliance issues Compiling and processing state and federal wage and income tax withholding in multiple states and compiling and submitting corresponding quarterly wage reports Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures Email resume to sdorazio@projectconsulting.com
