Corporate Payroll Specialist- Position Summary:

The Payroll Specialist is a crucial member of the human resources department in any organization, responsible for managing the company’s payroll needs. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of precision to ensure accurate processing of employee payments, compliance with government regulations, and the management of payroll data. The Payroll Specialist serves as an anchor in the human resources team by handling sensitive and confidential information and ensuring the timely and accurate issuance of employee paychecks.

Corporate Payroll Specialist- Position Responsibilities:

Processing payroll for employees in the organization, ensuring accuracy for time worked and compensation received. Maintaining payroll processing systems and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data. Verifying the accuracy of payroll data entered and addressing any discrepancies that arise. Answering employee questions and troubleshooting issues related to payroll. Preparing reports for management on payroll matters and changes. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Facilitating audits by providing records and documentation to auditors. Identifying opportunities for payroll process improvement and assisting with the implementation of any new changes.

Corporate Payroll Specialist- Position Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is highly preferred. Must be a Certified Payroll Specialist in ADP Workforce Now. 1-2 years’ experience processing payroll in ADP Workforce Now. Strong computing skills, including proficiency in payroll software, Excel, and other accounting tools. Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, critical for dealing with diverse queries and explanations.
