Class Summary The function of Gwinnett County Department of Planning and Development is to promote and enhance the quality of life of residents, visitors, property owners and businesses of Gwinnett County. The Department accomplishes its mission through programs and services that encourage high quality development as well as maintenance and revitalization of existing neighborhoods. Job Description
The Financial Support Associate II position is assigned to the Licensing and Revenue section within the Customer Experience Division and is responsible for performing support duties related to fiscal and business and alcohol licensing activities. Essential Duties
Review and process in-person and online Occupational Tax Applications
Review and process in-person and online Occupation Tax and Alcohol License renewals Verify and validate information including legal entity documentation, Certificates of Occupancy, immigration records, and other submitted materials for accuracy and compliance.
Answer phones and emails Deliver comprehensive information and maintain clear, effective communication
Corresponds with applicants, CPAs, and business owners Accept payments and balance tenders at the end of the day Submit applications to the manager for approval Understand and reference chapters 6, 18, and 22 of the Code of Ordinances
Grade
The grade for this position is B22(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience. Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or G.E.D.; and
Four years of bookkeeping, accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
