Interim Director of Risk Management Needed in Tuscaloosa, AL! The Position An Interim Director of Risk Management is needed to oversee day-to-day risk operations across three hospitals. This position will report to the General Counsel and will not have direct oversight of any FTEs. Key responsibilities include maintaining risk operations and facilitating family conversations. Additional duties include preserving data and obtaining statements. The ideal candidate will have an RN or clinical background, at least five years of experience in risk management and insurance functions, strong collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to engage with patient families. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance. Requirements Bachelor’s degree required. Active RN license required. Minimum five years of experience in risk management and insurance functions within healthcare required. Compensation Details Compensation Range:
$160,000 to $170,000 annually. The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
