What You’ll Do:
You’ll keep our Code Enforcement Department running smoothly, supporting our officers, helping residents and business owners, and ensuring our records are on point. Your days will be a mix of administrative work, public interaction, case management, and supporting risk management projects. You’ll be the friendly, organized, and reliable face that keeps everything on track.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage official correspondence, notices, and legal documents Organize digital and physical case files and track compliance efforts Serve as the first point of contact for public questions about city codes Support case tracking, hearing preparation, and follow-up with property owners Coordinate with legal counsel, police, and city staff to support enforcement Assist with risk management documentation and policy development Help prepare materials for community outreach and department trainings
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in an administrative support role (government, legal, or code enforcement a plus) Strong communication and organization skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new software Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential matters High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred Valid Florida Driver’s License and willingness to obtain relevant certifications
