Job Description
Prager Metis CPAs, LLC is looking for a Tax Supervisor II.
Location of Employment:
Hackensack, NJ (50% telecommuting is allowed if within the commuting distance of the company’s NJ office location)Job Duties
- Supervise Staff Accountants/Tax Supervisors to prepare federal, multi-state, foreign, corporate and partnership tax returns, and prepare financial statements.
Serve as the client’s trusted advisor in the areas of tax and accounting. Identify client issues related to tax compliance and strategies and proactively communicate solution options to the client. Provide internal and external accounting related consulting services to clients including board members, C- suite, tax and finance director and general counsel. Advise clients of U.S. and international tax matters. Communicate with government and regulatory agencies. Analyze business operations and trends to project future revenue. Develop and manage budgets, to ensure effective use of efficiency for the office. Review work of team members, oversee coordination between staff accountants/tax supervisors and client, and manage effective staffing of team members in the office.
Minimum Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in accounting or a closely related field.
- Five years of accounting related progressive work experience as an Accountant, Tax Supervisor or in a related occupation in a CPA firm in preparing all the following: 1) foreign, multi-state, federal, corporate, partnership tax returns for multinational and publicly traded entities, 2) financial statements, 3) Federal and state audits, and 4) tax projections.
- Strong knowledge of CCH ProSystem fx, CCH Engagement, XCM Workflow, Sureprep. and QuickBooks.
- 50% telecommuting is allowed if within the commuting distance of the company’s NJ office location (401 Hackensack Avenue, 4th Floor, Hackensack, NJ 07601).
