We are seeking a highlyskilled and experienced Permanent Controller to join our dynamicteam in the Aerospace and Defense industry. The ideal candidatewill be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of theorganization, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance,and fiscal health. This role requires a professional with a strongbackground in financial reporting, month and year-end close,general ledger reconciliation, budgeting, accounts payable,accounts receivable, payroll, and account analysis. The PermanentController will report directly to the Owner and will have theopportunity to make a significant impact on the business’sfinancial performance.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all accounts,ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriateGAAP standards and regulatory requirements. 2. Maintain internalcontrol and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and programbudgets and actual expenditures. 3. Regularly produce financialreports and statements, ensuring all reporting is accurate and incompliance with financial regulations and standards. 4. Coordinateand lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditorsand the finance committee of the board of directors. 5. Oversee theproduction of monthly reports including reconciliations as well asfinancial statements and cash flow projections for use by executivemanagement. 6. Manage the month and year-end close process,ensuring timely and accurate completion. 7. Coordinate and managecompany payroll functions, ensuring all payroll activities arecarried out efficiently and effectively. 8. Manage the accountspayable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.9. Perform detailed account analysis and provide strategicfinancial input and leadership on decision-making issues affectingthe organization. 10. Develop and manage financial controls inaccordance with the company’s procedures. 11. Communicate financialmetrics to senior management and provide advice on how to increaserevenue and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree inAccounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPAwould be an added advantage. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience ina senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in theManufacturing industry. 3. Knowledge of finance, accounting,budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally AcceptedAccounting Principles (GAAP). 4. Experience with financialreporting, month and year-end close, general ledger reconciliation,budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, andaccount analysis. 5. Proficient in the use of MS Office andfinancial management software (e.g. SAP). 6. Strong interpersonaland communication skills. 7. Impeccable analytical andorganizational skills. 8. Self-motivated and self-directed, able towork with minimal supervision. 9. Ability to work closely with asenior management team. Interested in hearing more?
