Job Description
Controller Confidential Northborough, MA 01532 We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead the internal financial operations of a growing full-service construction services company. This is a key leadership role where you’ll take charge of all things accounting and finance across several business units. It’s a great fit for someone who’s not just strong with numbers, but also enjoys working closely with teams across the company. From managing the books and handling AP/AR to job costing and financial reporting, the Controller will be the go-to for accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financials, and you’ll also play a vital role in budgeting and forecasting across different parts of the business. In this role, you’ll keep a close eye on cash flow, cost controls, and financial performance while making sure everything stays in line with GAAP, internal policies, and tax rules. Experience with multi-entity accounting is a must — especially if you’ve handled intercompany transactions and consolidated reports before. You should have solid experience handling financial reporting for multiple entities and LLCs — including managing intercompany transactions and pulling together consolidated statements. In this role, you’ll team up with leadership and department heads to provide clear financial insights that help drive smart decisions and support the company’s growth. We’re looking for someone with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or something similar, plus at least five years of growing experience in the field — bonus points if you’ve worked in construction or real estate development. You should know your way around project-based financials, job costing, and managing finances across multiple entities. Being comfortable with accounting software and Excel is important, along with strong skills in analysis, organization, and leadership. Must be a strong communicator with a team player mindset.
