Job Description
Controller Confidential Long Island City, NY 11101 Construction company located in Queens, NY is currently seeking a qualified Controller. The position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and the Chief Executive Officer.
Description:
Provide financial analysis and business strategies to senior level executives in the organization regarding finance and accounting. Managing the day-to-day accounting and financial functions including but not limited to: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations, Cash Management, performing audits and reconciliations of all General Ledger accounts, project cost accounting and billing, income & sales tax payments, and payroll Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the organization with regards to Long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts. Partnering with Project Managers to monitor project budgets and performance. Provide insight and recommendations for both short-term and long-term growth plan of the organization. Prepare and present monthly financial reports – including monthly balance sheet, profit and loss, forecast vs. budget, and weekly cash flow for each department and division.
Qualification:
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Controller, preferably in the construction industry. Minimum 10 years’ of experience in accounting and finance. Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience managing and developing a strong accounting department team. Ability to multi-task, work in a fast pace environment Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills Knowledge of Sage 100 is a plus Our Company offers: Medical / Dental / Vision 401(k)
