Our client, a well-established retail company based in Lititz, PA, is looking for a dependable, detail-driven Assistant Controller to join their dynamic Corporate Accounting team. This full-time, high-impact role is perfect for a candidate with a strong accounting foundation, sharp analytical skills, and a desire to grow into a leadership position. You’ll work closely with the CFO and Controller, playing a key role in driving financial integrity, operational excellence, and strategic insights.
What You’ll Do:
Prepare financial reports and KPI dashboards for both internal stakeholders and external partners
Lead month-end and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
Manage journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger oversight
Support capital project tracking, debt service management, and corporate liabilities
Conduct internal audits and oversee physical inventory accuracy
Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax laws, and regulatory requirements
Review financial contracts and administer licenses and registrations
Train, direct, and mentor accounting team members
Collaborate with leadership to interpret financial results and recommend improvements
Assist with budget development and board reporting
Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets

$90,000
Bonus:
$5,500 annually

What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA a plus)
Minimum of 3 years’ accounting experience (retail experience preferred)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (ERP systems a bonus)
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to local company locations as needed
Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
