Job Description

Educational Technician III, Preschool – Autism & D at MaineHealth in Portland, Maine, United States Job Description Description The Educational Technician III – Autism Preschool role provides instruction and behavioral support in year-round special purpose programs. Under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher and Director, the Education Tech III provides services that support the achievement of communication, play, socialization, self-care, cognitive, behavior and motor goals of students. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education:

Minimum of 90 credits of approved study required.

License/Certifications:

Certification as an Education Technician III from the Maine Department of Education (minimum of 90 credits in approved study) required.

Experience:

Two years of experience in special education, early childhood or a related field preferred. Experience/interest in working with children ages 3-5 with autism and other developmental disabilities preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of the Educational Technician II role.

Additional Skills/Requirements Required:

DOE fingerprinting required.
