$ 21.7-32.58 USD Join Our Team as a Full-Time Cardiac Technician at UPMC! Are you passionate about cardiac care and looking for a rewarding full-time opportunity? UPMC is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Technician to join our team. This role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., primarily supporting our clinic in Lock Haven, with occasional coverage at Williamsport and other site locations. Professional Growth:
Prior Medical Assistant or clinical/technician experience is preferred, and a background in Cardiology/EP is a plus.
Impactful Work:
Implement and prepare for interpretation of vital cardiac testing, including EKGs, Holter Monitoring Hook-ups, and Stress Testing.
Key Responsibilities:
EKG Editing:
Edit EKGs after physician review by deleting, inserting, or making additions of established phrases in the ECG Computerized System (MUSE).
System Utilization:
Utilize all computer systems (MUSE, TDS, etc.) for testing data, result reporting, mailing, billing, and more.
Cardiac Testing:
Perform cardiac testing, including EKGs, rhythm strips, Signal Average ECGs, Stress Testing, and Holter Monitoring hook-ups according to protocol and in a timely fashion.
Equipment Maintenance:
Maintain equipment by cleaning and stocking daily, alerting appropriate personnel of needed repairs and supplies, and ensuring the department area meets Safety & Security regulations (JCAHO & OSHA).

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Six months of experience in a medical related field is preferred. Ability to work flexible hours to meet the department’s needs that include evenings, weekends, holidays and weekend/holiday On-Call required. Basic typing and computer skills are also required. Transcription skills are preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Completion of a Medical Assistant or Cardiac Technician course preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
